Social Responsibility
As Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has evolved over the past few decades, the focus has evolved from philanthropic activities to integrating the interests of the business with the communities in which it operates. The Jai Balaji Group believes that through socially, environmentally, and ethically responsible conduct in its operations, the company is able to generate value and long-term sustainability for itself while contributing to the wellbeing of society at large.
As part of its commitment to social inclusion and equitable development of rural communities, the Group conducts frequent distribution drives, such as food distributions during local events and clothing distributions during festivals, as well as regular interaction with rural residents. By distributing artificial limbs, holding blood donation and eye camps, and constructing better water supply and drainage systems, we aim to alleviate and improve the quality of life of the backward sections. Our services go beyond providing necessities, as we provide educational grants as well as medical grants. In addition to sustainable livelihoods, the initiatives include health, education, and the environment.
The Group is also responsible for evaluating on a periodic basis any environmental issues related to its manufacturing facilities. Resources are carefully reduced, reused, recycled and reclaimed by the Group. To further fulfill our vision, we have also been engaged in numerous purposeful CSR activities.
CHILDRENs DAY 2019: The Group celebrated Children's Day at Nav Sagarbhabga Primary School on 14th November 2019 and distributed gifts to schoolchildren. In addition, the school has tank water facilities and computers as a part of its sustainability program.
THE PANDEMIC: In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the group made donations to the West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund in response to the prevailing crisis in West Bengal. During the lockdown, the Group also distributed food to Nabadiganta Villagers. The Jai Balaji Group also distributed hand sanitisers and masks to employees in an effort to prevent the expansion of COVID-19.
